My Head Coach

Peter Nicol

Peter Nicol is a former professional squash player, regarded by many as one of the best to ever play the sport. During his time on tour, Among his many accomplishments, Nicol held the World No. 1 ranking for a total of 60-months and captured two British Open titles, a World Open title, and four Gold Medals at the Commonwealth Gamess. Since retiring in 2006, Nicol has dedicated his efforts to growing and enhancing the sport through the Nicol Champions Academy and co-founding SquashSkills, an online platform that provides world-class coaching for players around the world.

While Peter has worked with and advised many professionals over the years, Olivia is the first professional that Peter has coached full time.  The two began working together in June of 2018 following her graduation from Princeton and now work together full-time in Manhattan. 

 
 

My Nutritionist

Nyree Dardarian

Olivia began working with Dardarian in the fall of 2018 and their work together has already transformed Olivia’s diet and outlook on food and health. Whether it’s the middle of a heavy training block or the middle of a tournament, Dardarian helps Olivia plan and adjust her meals each week based on her fluctuating training schedule. Her counsel helps Olivia fuel and hydrate her body to not only perform at the highest level but recover properly as well.

Dardarian is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of the Center for Nutrition & Performance (CNP) in the Department of Nutrition Sciences at Drexel University. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. In addition to working with some of Team USA’s top professional squash players, she is also the nutritionist for professional sports teams include the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL) and the Philadelphia Union (MLS).

My Strength and Movement Coach

Damon Leedale-Brown

Olivia began working with Leedale-Brown at the age of 12 and initially their work focused on developing her movement, strength and endurance. It didn’t take long to notice the drastic impact that his coaching and expertise had on Olivia’s game and consequently, he quickly became one of Olivia’s primary coaches and has worked with her ever since. Over the years, Leedale-Brown has worked with Olivia on all aspects of her game and has played a pivotal role in her success on both the junior and collegiate tour.

Leedale-Brown is a sports scientist and conditioning specialist who has been heavily involved in the world of squash since a young age. Before coming to the US, he worked closely with England’s National Team Program where he played an instrumental role in preparing 7 World Championship teams and 3 individual World Champions. Since coming to the states, he has worked with the US Junior and Senior National Teams, top-ranked high school and college programs, along with many of the country’s top junior players. Leedale-Brown works with a number of highly ranked professional players as well and is excited to continue to working with Olivia as she transitions to this new phase of her squash career. 

 

My Sports Pyschologist

Amy Gross

Olivia has worked with Amy Gross since 2015. In order to maximize her potential, Olivia feels that it is essential to constantly look for ways to improve her mental strength and toughness in addition to her physical and tactical abilities.  From working with Gross, Olivia has developed habits and skills that have strengthened her mental strength and mindset in both practice and competition. Although Olivia has always found mental training to be extremely important, she knows that on the professional tour, mental strength is more important than ever and what can separate the best from the rest of the pack.

Gross is the founder of Pillars4Performance, a coaching and consulting company that helps individuals and teams enhance their performance and maximize their potential.
